You are warmly invited to join us for a peaceful one-day retreat focused on Medicine Buddha, a profound and powerful deity practice.
This retreat is an opportunity for reflection, practice and healing, especially in these times of uncertainty and change.

Open to all levels of practitioners, we can begin or deepen our understanding of Medicine Buddha. Through guided sessions, held in a serene and beautiful environment, we will:
- Learn approaches to cultivate in daily life for a sense of ease and wellbeing.
- Explore the healing qualities of Medicine Buddha
- Build our confidence in meditation and mantra practice
- Illuminate qualities like calm, resilience and kindness, and
- Learn approaches to cultivate in daily life for a sense of ease and wellbeing.
Welcome to our July retreat day
We look forward to welcoming you to our July retreat day, to be led by Anna Goldstein. Anna is a Buddhist nun who studied for many years with the great Tibetan scholar, meditator and spiritual guide, Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden.
Retreat information
The retreat day is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.
Program
Each session will include a guided meditation and mantra practice. The program includes:
Session 1: 9.15 – 10.30 am – Introduction for newcomers and those wishing to enhance their Medicine Buddha practice
Morning tea
Session 2: 11.15 am – 12.30 pm – Understanding Medicine Buddha
Lunch
Session 3: 2.15 – 3.30 pm – Inner protection in a changing world
Afternoon tea
Session 4: 4.15 – 5.15 pm – Medicine Buddha practice
The retreat will be held on-site in the beautiful environment of the Peaceful Land of Joy meditation centre. Participants can also attend online.
The retreat is fully catered and there is ample opportunity during the session breaks to stroll and enjoy the peace of the centre’s beautiful gardens.
