Geshe Loden’s immeasurable benefit
For students, supporters, and friends of the Tibetan Buddhist Society, the legacy of our founder and spiritual guide, Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden abides — through the magnificent traditional Tibetan temples in Melbourne and Perth, the serene and expansive gardens, his nine authoritative books, and a rich, ongoing program of Dharma teachings that continue to offer immeasurable benefit to all.
Geshe Loden first came to Australia as a refugee in 1976.
Later he said, “For many years I have eaten Australian food, drunk Australian water, had shelter and conditions provided by the Australian people. My activities are to repay the kindness of the Australian people”. This was achieved many times over.
When Geshe-la passed in August 2011 we received messages from individuals, Tibetan monasteries and Dharma centres throughout the world, recalling Geshe-la’s teachings, achievements and manifold acts of kindness, and praying that he quickly return to continue his activities.
Now we can say Geshe-la has also fulfilled the commitment to return. We wish Geshe Loden’s reincarnation, Loden Rinpoche success in his studies, good health and quick return to the Tibetan Buddhist Society.
